The REF contest rules for DX stations – other languages

Objective

  • French amateurs work as many amateur stations in as many French of the 97 metropolitans departments (including F6REF HQ), overseas territories (DOM/TOM) and DXCC countries of the world as possible on 80, 40, 20, 15, and 10 meter bands.
  • Foreign amateurs work as many F stations in as many of the 97 metropolitans departments (including F6REF HQ) and overseas French territories (DOM/TOM) as possible.

Dates:

CW: Last full weekend in January.
SSB: Last full weekend in February.
Starts 0600 UTC Saturday; ends 1800 UTC Sunday

80, 40, 20, 15, 10m

Classes:

Single Op All Band
Single Op Single Band
Multi-Single

Exchange:

French: RST + Department/Prefix
non-French: RST + Serial No.
Work stations: Once per band

Scoring:

QSO Points:
non-French: 1 point per QSO with French station same continent
non-French: 3 points per QSO with French station on different continent
Multipliers:  French/Corsica departments + F6REF/00 once per band
non-French DXCC countries once per band (available only to French stations)
Score Calculation: Total score = total QSO points x total mults
